Recipe: Apple Crisps

by Sue Taggart

Apple season is here and this is a great time to serve up some delicious apple crisps. A perfect, healthy snack and a great decoration for fall muffins, cakes and baked goods.

One large apple sliced crosswise ¼” thick, with the seeds removed will fill two baking sheets. You can use any sweet, crisp apples. One apple will make about 20 chips

Line the baking sheets with parchment paper. Heat the oven to 225degrees. Bake for 1-1/2 hours. Flip the slices over and bake for a further 1-2 hours till crisp and turning golden. Remove from baking sheet and cool. These will keep for about one week in an airtight container.
