Obesity as we all know is a major problem in this country. It’s prominent at all ages, races, regions of the country and economic levels. It of course negatively contributes to ones health and has created a new industry with a plethora of diet products, lose weight programs and even a form of entertainment from a TV show that lets one follow the daily tribulations of loosing weight of a highly obese person while at the some time, hopefully, helping and inspiring viewers to deal with their over weight problem.
At one time it seemed that this was an exclusive American problem but why not let other countries participate in our excessiveness so we exported our fast food businesses to interrupt healthier diets that other peoples of the world were living with. Foreigners coming to this country are often surprised at the portion sizes of our meals that are much larger to what they are accustomed to.
