Gwen Stefani and Eco-Friendly Clothing

by Leesa Raab

Gwen Stefani, who became famous as the lead singer for No Doubt, has teamed up with Michael Glasser, a designer for 7 For All Mankind and Citizens of Humanity, to create an 18-piece clothing line called DWP (Design With A Purpose).

This line differs from her previous clothing lines as it’s not only more affordable, with the collection ranging from $80-130, but it’s eco-friendly! According to The Hollywood Reporter, the clothing line is created from biodegradable fabric known as Tencel, which is derived from wood pulp cellulose and spun into a silky textile fiber.

DWP will consist of many basics with chic touch, high low tanks, moto vests, blouses, trousers, jumpsuits, and crop tops. The line aims to be unique and trendy as well as eco-friendly.

Stefani is not new to the designer world, she has two other clothing lines including L.A.M.B and Harujuku Lovers, which was inspired by her travels to Japan and witnessing the individual and unique style Harujuku youth had. She has also recently partnered with O.P.I. to unveil her own nail polish collection, which is available at Ulta.com.

Be on the lookout for Stefani’s new DWP line, which will hit store shelves this spring.
