Family Fun Events in NYC

by Lieve Falck-Pedersen

New York City can be a daunting place—especially for parents traveling with rambunctious little kids. But fear not! Here is a list of some spectacularly fun things to do as a family in the Big Apple, that will be sure to keep your kids busy and excited.

1.A great family fun option for NYC visitors is to sign up for a class at the renowned Natural Gourmet Institute. Hosting classes on how to fix delicious vegan dishes, to taking it back to the basics of cooking, the NGI has some really incredible opportunities for your family to try out. With classes from 6:30-10pm, you and your family will be master chefs in no time! Watch out Ramsey!

2.If you’re not in the mood to prepare a huge meal, you could always try a simpler solution of a picnic in the park! Grab some snacks from a local farmer’s market, a couple of blankets, and maybe a kite or two and you’ll feel like true Central Park City Slickers in no time.

3.Coming to New York as a family, it’s basically a mortal sin to not visit the Bronx Zoo. One of the most iconic locations in New York, the Bronx Zoo is a great way to make sure your kids are outside, learning, and having fun all at once!

4.To make sure your trip stays cultured and exciting, head down to Wagner Park at Sunset on Thursday to experience the incredible “River and Blues” outdoor concert series. With incredible musicians every Thursday, a bit of Blues tunes and a sunset over the city will be a perfect way to cap off the night.
