17 Sustainable Goals From The UN + ONE

by Guest Writer

Instead of doing our usual interview with eco mavens, today we chose to feature the 17 sustainable development goals plus one added by our team! The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), otherwise known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. These 17 Goals build on the successes of the Millenium Development Goals while including new areas such as climate change, economic inequality, innovation, sustainable consumption, peace, and justice, among other priorities.  The United Nations would like to achieve these goals by the year 2030 and considers this a promise from the international governmental community to the people of the world.  Each is accompanied by a target which you can read more about here.

So how can you play a role in helping achieve these goals? Well for starters help spread the word! Maybe share the goals with friends and family or even share with your followers on social media. If you are a business owner, implement initiatives to support organizations with a mission to target one of the goals.

Make sure to scroll all the way down to read all the goals including the extra we added!

Living consciously means you appreciate yourself and everything around you. Here at Eco 18, we have every intention to make our contribution to the world by being kind to our planet, our ecosystem, and our earth.
